My Favorite Place to Eat in Ikebukuro
It has been almost two months since the university started—as we got used to our new life, we taught ourselves how to use our empty periods effectively: studying and or exploring the city of Ikebukuro. I find myself going out for lunch with friends when I feel like looking for a relaxing getaway.
In Ikebukuro, there are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from that we are often torn between the myriads of options.
The place that really struck me was a restaurant called Patisserie a la campange, located on the way to Ikebukuro station from the campus.
Patisserie a la campange serves a combination of French and Italian food with very reasonable price.
Not only the amazing quality of their dishes, but also the atmosphere of the place is one of the features that had spoken to me. When I went there with my friend. we were asked to sit anywhere we would like, and choose to sit in the corner of the restaurant, where we could overlook the entire place. As soon as we were seated, I forgot that I was in Ikebukuro; for the atmosphere made me illude, with the songs by Norah Jones, that I was in a calm and stress-free environment.
When I visited this place with my friend, we talked about our worries as university students and adolescents who are one step away from being grown-ups. I believe that through enjoying the meals together and sharing our thoughts, there are many things we could learn about a person. Now that I looked back to that day, I am certain that the atmosphere of Patisserie a la campange helped us to be honest, relaxed, and comfortable to deliberate about our thoughts and ideas.

I always pass by this restaurant! It's very close to Rikkyo! At first, I thought, "It's cute from the outside. But yeah, it's just another one of those typical sweet restaurants" I was completely wrong upon reading your blog. The music in the background made it all up for me! ♡ I think this is just the kind of restaurant I need to go to HAHA since they give off that calming and relaxing atmosphere! Just perfect for some refresh from school's hectic tasks! I should definitely try it! I will try it! ♡
